Dysfunctional voiding or disorders of urination such as frequency, urgency, urinary incontinence, nocturia, slow stream, dribbling may be a symptom of benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) in men. Most will respond to proper medical therapy. When medical therapy fails or not well tolerated, minimally invasive therapy such as high-pressure steam or laser ablation are available for suitable situations. Transurethral prostate resection with plasma technology may be considered for a drug-free and durable long-term alternative.

Prostate Cancer Service
Advances in technology especially in the area of robotics had allowed the removal of prostate cancer through keyholes instead of a larger incision with open surgery.

Suggested for:
Men with an abnormal PSA reading or MRI Prostate with PIRADS score greater than 2.
Kidney Stone Service
Urinary stones including kidney, ureteric or bladder stones may cause severe loin or groin pain, bleeding in the urine, frequency and nausea, vomiting. They may pass spontaneously with appropriate medical therapy failing which Shockwave or laser lithotripsy may be applied.

Hematuria Service
Hematuria or blood in the urine may be a sign of urinary stone, kidney, bladder or ureteric cancer or kidney disease and should be looked into.
Investigations may include:
- Renal function assessment
- Urine tests
- Radiological imaging
- Endoscopic examination
Kidney Cancer Service
Kidney cancer may present with bleeding in the urine, pain over the loins or flanks or a palpable mass. Some are detected at an early stage by ultrasound scanning. Treatment depends on the origin of the cancer.
Treatment options:
- Minimally invasive radiofrequency or cryoablation
- Radical Nephrectomy
- Excision of tumor, Partial Nephrectomy

Bladder Cancer Service
Blood in the urine either microscopic or visible is a common sign of bladder cancer. When detected early it can be removed endoscopically sparing the bladder.
Treatments may include:
- Diagnostic cystoscopy and biopsy
- Transurethral resection of bladder tumor
- Intravesical instillation of chemotherapy and BCG
- Radiotherapy
Fertility Service
Fertility in men requires assessment when repeated seminal analyses are suboptimal in quantity and quality.

- MESA/TESE
